HyunRyoung was born in Korea and immigrated to Canada in 2001. She studied Fine Arts at Sheridan College, her works has been featured and awarded in exhibitions across Ontario including XIT-RM exhibition at AGM and Marty Awards. Internationally, she has been recognized as “One to Watch” by Saatchi Art in 2013. Since then, Saatchi Art has been representing her works world widely. 

 

              She seeks to create works that express the genuine herself, the world, and its spiritual presence. In her belief, art was what drew her nearer to the world, yet helped her see it from a different eye. 

              

              Her ideology is to express the world’s spiritual presence through introspection and contemplation. The creating progress is based on spontaneity, resistance, unintentional, and simplification as well. In this manner, She continuously develop a relationship between colors, shapes, portions, lines and mediums and make bold manifestation on the canvas in a large, gestural, abstract form which opens up to the infinite possibilities of connection through exploration of the world surrounding and within us. The classification of her abstract style can be observed as all kind of relationships.
